Delta -air lines and United Airlines were sued for passengers who claim that they are charged with an additional fee for the window seat, but found themselves sitting next to the empty wall.
In lawsuits provided separately against US carriers, they look for millions of losses for more than a million customers of each airline.
They said the companies were not subject to the fact that seats without a window during the booking process, even when collecting a premium for them.
United refused to comment because it was a permanent legal affair. BBC contacted Delta for comments.
The trials similar to the stated are looking for the return of additional payments for the passengers who said they had paid for the window seats, but instead received windows.
Both lawsuits, which were noticed by the BBC, were submitted by the Greenbaum Olbrantz law firm.
The complaints say that some Boeing and Airbus passenger planes had seat that had no windows from the placement of air ducts, postings and other components.
According to the court documents, these places are not indicated by Delta and United during the booking process.
The trials say that people buy window seats for various reasons, including the fight against fear and movement, the preservation of children is busy or for a look.
Some passengers would not choose these places – or paid for them more – if they knew that they had no windows, according to complaints.
Both airlines describe each place along the sides of their planes as a “window seat”, even if they know that some are near the window, the documents said.
Passengers can be charged more to choose a window seat compared to the standard seat.
Lawyers who present each case described this practice as “deceptive” and “illegal”.
Other carriers, such as American Airlines and Alaska Airlines, work with similar planes, but reveal during the booking process if the place does not include the window, they added.
