In his statements, hegets shared the main defense strategy promoting Trump: Prioritize readiness, reject identity policy and restore American curbing.
“We will focus on their readiness, training, fighting, accountability, standards. Black, white, man, woman, do not matter. We will be colorful and deserve hostilities, like you are here in the 82nd.”
This return to the basics claimed that HEGSET is required to restore strength and determine growing global threats.
“President Trump strives for historical investments in our formations. Our promise is that if the 82th air troop is deployed … You will be equipped better than any other fighting forces in the world.”

Contrasting with previous administrations, Hegset referred to global instability, including war in Ukraine, a terrorist attack on October 7 and US Removal from Afghanistan.
“Unfortunately, for a number of years the world watched and thought where the American leadership is and the American force,” he said. “By putting America first, we will restore peace through force.”
