Sensing social media Tinx wanted their followers to feel some kind of reading his first novel Hotter in the Hamptons This summer.
“My vision is that everyone goes by the pool, sipping Rosé, reading this book,” the 34 -year -old influencer, a real name Christina Najjartell Weekly US in promotion only in promotion Hotter in the Hamptons. “I want everyone to be nice and horned this summer. That was my thinking process.”
The book – out on Tuesday, May 6 – follows the main character, fashion influencer Lola Fine, who escapes to the Hamptons after Snavu’s live Instagram almost ruined her career – and her relationship with her seemingly perfect boyfriend.
“I think many people lose themselves in relationships – especially if they have a great relationship like (Lola) do at first,” he explained. “I really wanted to explore that theme through someone who wasn’t a girl girl, who didn’t have many close friends. Ryan is obviously her best friend, but she doesn’t have a gang of women she can press. I wanted an example of what can happen if you are one of those people who always go to a relationship and, kind of, lose yourself.”
Lola’s journey to self-acceptance Contains an unexpected fling With Aly Ray Carter, the journalist whose exposé pulled her down. Tinx tells Us That she uses an “incredible queer collaborator” to get the story right.
“Having a second chance is an amazing thing. Sometimes it takes to be canceled to wake up and realize, ‘Who are the people who have my back? What really matters in this crazy life?’ That was definitely a theme I wanted to explore, ”shared Tinx, noting that she could identify with Lola in that way. (Hotter in the Hamptons already in the process of being modified by Sarca and Erin Foster.)
However Tinx explained to Us that she wants to write a character that is the opposite of herself.
“I knew from the beginning, when I dreamed, it was going to be complicated. I love complex female main characters. None of us are perfect,” Tinx explained. “She’s very lacking. She’s lacking in a different way than me and that was very important to me.… There’s a lot of me there, but it’s not really about me.”
When he came to write the perfect beach he read, Tinx thought of his favorite romance novels (naming Pucking around by Emily Rath as a standout) and actually lean to the spice.
“I always go back to: ‘Let me create something I want to eat,'” said Tinx. “Whether it’s Tiktok, whether it’s a podcast, whether it’s a book.”
