All kinds of signs, clothing and mantras can be expected in a Role model and Da concert.
Of “T Dawg Baddie with a fat donkey”And“Advice for the cervix of first pap”To a sign asking for a role model to be a lesbian couple sperm donor -“ Maybe some day, ” Said to Weekly US – there has been no funny fan conduct on the No place as a trip Running.
“I can’t say the things I saw on the signs,” said Dawson – who opened for a role model during his tour run in North America – Us only before releasing his latest single, “Chemical reaction”Out today.“ They are a little disgraceful. “
One fan interaction, however, has remained with the America’s got talent alum.
“Someone shouted, ‘you’re a bath and 10,’ or something like me. But I didn’t hear so I thought they said I looked like George Washington. So that’s something I get now, ”he told Us. “It’s ok. It’s hot.”
Although not entirely 18th century, Dawson channels retro energy in her ethereal, disco music. Abba is clearly a great inspiration to the singer, who was born in Minnesota but who spent much of her childhood traveling in Europe.
“I grew up listening to older music, many hymns, classical music, sound tracks and then oldies – English, Spanish, Italian, French and Bollywood,” he told Us. “Many people die.”
Da
Aaron SinclairIf you have now not fallen for its remarkable charm, Dawson manages to pack scandalous stories and bold publications to a courteous and hit demeanor – as seen in her Instagram presence.
“I told someone recently about how I hung out in a cemetery for a time in a country on my own,” he remembered Us Speaking of her upbringing. “My parents went a grocery shopping when we lived in Switzerland, and it’s so expensive. So they went to Germany and my passport ended and so did my brothers and sisters’. So they left us in a park but discovered it’s a cemetery after they drove away.”
At the first few minutes of talking to the singer “Happy World”, you realize that it is full of stories as entertaining as that one.
Dawson quotes uniquely Emily Dickinson and Shrek as influences on her music, including EPS Teaching (2023) and How to be human (2024).
“Emily Dickinson was someone I would read a lot that I would read a lot, and I just felt that his story looked a bit like me at the time,” he said Us. “I was a bit of a hermit and stopped leaving home and basically, then I stopped living life. And so I read the end of her story, as it was a while back, and it was a little scary to see myself reflected in that way, but I also realized I could change the ending (for myself).”
He continued: “And you know what? They have a lot in common because Shrek is also a hermit and lives in the bog all alone. And I’m just this whole journey trying to find my ass.”
This time, Dawson is entering her robot period.
“‘Chemical Response’ is about not wanting or being interested in romance or relationships or anything, but taking a step back and seeing it from the nerdy maths science part of it,” he said of the new single, which shows her as a crazy scientist on cover art. “(Is) exactly how a robot would feel in love for the first time and go through that process and try to understand it.”
Furthermore, Dawson states that the robotic theme represents her trying to escape her own emotions and deal with numbness in her mental health journey.
“I used to tell myself when I wasn’t feeling well, ‘I wish I was a robot so I could stop feeling things,” he told us. “But then after a while, I think it happens where you don’t feel anything anymore. And so in this next chapter of my life, I feel I’ve started allowing myself to feel things and experience things.”
“Chemical response” is out now.
