Dave Coulier’s Cancer Treatment Gets ‘Harder,’ Wife Says

“He has some very difficult days, and as the chemo builds up it gets a bit harder and harder,” Bring said during an interview with WXYZ published on Thursday, January 23.

Bring shared that Coulier’s sense of humor carried him through the tougher days. “He has such a positive attitude, and you need that to really fight him,” he said. “Every morning, if it feels right, we try to put on a song and have a little dance party with the dogs, because when you feel good, you have to celebrate that too.”

Sharing that “everyone is really rallying around all of us,” Bring explained that she believes Coulier’s strength is “inherent in him.”

“He has had a lot of loss in his life in terms of having to deal with cancer. He lost his mother, his sister, his niece. His another sister got it,” he said. “I think for him, he takes every step and really draws strength from seeing the women who were so close in his life to power through it, and he wants to honor them,” he said.

The Full House alum say People in November 2024 he was diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Coulier, 65, explained that he had received his diagnosis the previous month after an upper respiratory infection led to severe swelling of his lymph nodes. Coulier underwent PET and CT scans and a biopsy after one area grew to the size of a golf ball.

“Three days later, my doctors called me back and said, ‘We wish we had better news for you, but you have non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and it’s called B-cell and he’s very aggressive,’” she told the outlet. “I went, I had a bit of a head cold because I had cancer, and it was quite overwhelming. This has been a very quick journey.”

Coulier shared that Bring, who he married in 2014advised their friends in the medical field and worked to create “a very specific plan for how they were going to handle this.” Coulier claimed that his recovery rate “it went from something low to (the) 90 percent range” after a bone marrow test came back negative.

Coulier shared during an appearance on Today in November 2023 that he had “three operations” and if his treatment goes as planned, he would be in “complete remission” by the time he completes chemotherapy in February.
