Dark Horse cuts ties with Neil Gaiman after new allegations

Following the recent allegations of sexual assault and abuse against Neil Gaimancomics publisher Dark Horse has ended its long relationship with the fantasy author. “We take the allegations against him seriously,” he said Dark horse“and we no longer publish his works.”

At the beginning of the month, Vultures released an extensive, potentially triggering report detailing the alleged abuse Gaiman committed against his victims. The story corroborated information previously revealed late last year through various sources and included new information of its own, including victim testimonies. For decades, Dark Horse has published graphic novels written by Gaiman, or adapted his novels for the format, as a limited series of comics for Anansi Boys which now ends in seven digits.

Marc Bernardinwho co-wrote the Annas comic, revealed that the book will end earlier this week. While he’s “incredibly proud” of the work he’s done with artist Shawn Martinbrough, colorist Chris Sotomayor and cover artist David Mack, he said it all “pales” next to Gaiman’s actions . “Dark Horse will not release a trade,” he wrote. “My heart breaks for the survivors and any pain seeing these books on the shelves might have caused.”

At the time of writing, the streamer has not revealed what he intends to do Anansi Boys adaptation– not only is Gaiman an executive producer on the next show, he also wrote its pilot and the sixth episode.
