Tottenham Hotspur has announced the departure of President Daniel Levy after almost 25 years.
The director of Spurs, and the President of the Premier League, has abandoned his role in the Club of North London after taking over in 2001 and building the club in a global power.
A statement by Levy said, “I am incredibly proud of the work I have done along with the executive team and all our employees.
“We have created this club in a global heavy weight that competes at the highest level. More than that, we have built a community.
“I was fortunate enough to work with some of the older people in this sport, from the LilyWhite House and Hotspur Way team to all players and managers over the years.
“I want to thank all the fans who have supported me over the years. It has not always been an easy trip, but they have advanced significant. I will continue to support this club with passion.”
Levy has helped to oversee the rise of Tottenham in recent years, to build one of the best stages in the world and to end the 17 -year -old trophy drought.
Peter Charington has participated in a role of non -executive president as a result of the change.
He added: “I am very honored to become a non-executive president of this extraordinary club and, in the name of the Council, I would like to thank Daniel and his family for his commitment and loyalty to the club for so many years.
“This is a new age of leadership for the club, outside and off the pitch. I recognize that there have been many changes in recent months, as we have launched new foundations for the future.
“We are now fully focused on stability and the possibility of the possibility of our talented people throughout the club, led by Vinai and his executive team.”
Tottenham has made several changes to the hierarchy in recent months, adding Vinai Venkatesham as CEO, Thomas Frank as the new male major coach and Martin as a women’s coach.
Spurs paid tribute to the leaving tax on its website. They said: “Tottenham Hotspur has been transformed for the last quarter of a century.
“He has played in European competitions in the last 18 seasons, becoming one of the most recognized football clubs in the world, constantly investing in his academy, players and facilities, including a new World Class Stadium and a state-of-the-art training center.
“The club has also regularly competed at the highest level, enjoying various fantastic hits in the field, including the recent victory of the Europa League Cup.”
The movement comes with continuous rumors that Tottenham is planned for an acquisition offer in the coming months. The investors of Saudi Arabia and America have been interested. A breakthrough in the denomination rights of the stadium is also foreseen.
