D-day “Not a nice day for you”

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz visited President Donald Trump in the White House on Thursday, both met for the first time since Merz was elected on May 6.

In their first bilateral meeting, numerous topics such as war and trade were mentioned. In one exchange, when the dead was brought up on June 6 as D-Day, Trump replied that it was a “not a nice day” for the chancellor.

D-day-it is when tens of thousands of troops landed on the beach in 1944, which noted the beginning of the union campaign for the release of the Nazis employed by Northern Europe.
