The Asia Cup 2025 hangs on uncertainty as a Cricket Control Council in India (BCCI) plans to boycott the next meeting of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) in Dhaka on July 24. The decision is in the midst of political and diplomatic tensions in progress with Bangladesh, raising doubts about the tournament.
India will host the next edition of the Asia Cup. The tournament is expected to begin on September 5, for the final purpose of September 21. However, the future of the multinational tournament is now uncertain due to the rise in tensions on the Indian-Pakistan border.
Above all, the BCCI recently announced that the Indian Ball Ball tour in Bangladesh, originally scheduled for August, has been postponed until 2026. The Council did not reveal the reason for the postponement.
