The demand for cruises continues rise, and Virgin Voyages has found a unique way make travelers choose them.
In December, the adults-only cruise line launched an unlimited cruise pass through 2025 with a base fare of $120,000. With this pass, travelers can board any ship at any time and from any location throughout the calendar year.
“We offer unlimited opportunities for adventure in a way that has never been seen before in a cruise,” said Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin Group, in a press release shared with CNBC Make It.
A pass can be purchased on a start date of January 1st, February 1st, March 1st or April 1st and is valid for one full year after that date. Passport holders must still pay taxes and fees on the cruises they book.
Virgin Voyages also announced that an annual pass can be purchased with bitcoins.
Passengers can board any of the three Virgin ships currently sailing and a fourth ship, the Brilliant Lady, which will launch in September 2025.
An annual pass allows owners to book a Sea Terrace cabin with a balcony and the iconic red hammock. Other perks include complimentary laundry facilities, $100 bar credit on each voyage, unlimited premium Wi-Fi, priority boarding, and exclusive onboard activities and experiences.
As a bonus, annual passholders can add a plus one to their cabin and swap that person out throughout the year.
The pass will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Travelers must be 21 years of age and book their ticket by inquiring through Virgin’s “Contact us” until March 31, 2025. Travel consultants who sell an annual pass will receive a $10,000 commission.
In addition to the annual ticket Virgin Voyages offers unlimited season pass. This pass allows travelers to take cruises of 24 to 40 nights, starting at $14,999 for two travelers.
