Palestinian crowds overcame the website of the gas assistance, created by the US and Israeli contradictory group, a day after it started working there.
The videos showed thousands of people walking along the torn fences and land in the Gaza Humanitarian Fund (GHF) in the southern city of Rafa.
The group stated that at one point, her team refused because the figures seeking help were so big. Israeli military said the troops near the warnings were fired.
GHF, which uses armed US contractors, seeks to bypass the UN as the main provider of gas assistance, where experts warn about the upcoming famine after 11-week Israeli blockade, which has recently been weakened.
The UN stated that the video with Rafa was “heartfelt” and that he had a detailed plan, ready to receive sufficient help for 2.1 million population.
The UN and many assistance groups refused to cooperate with GHF plans, which, according to them, are contrary to the humanitarian principles and seem to be “weapons”.
They warned that the system practically excluded those who have problems with the mobility, make further movement, put on thousands of people harm, assist depending on political and military purposes, and establish an unacceptable precedent to assist around the world.
Israel has stated that to stop Hamas’s assistance, which the group denies, it is necessary for an alternative to the assistance system.
GHF announced on Monday that “started operating in the newspaper” and began to hand over deliveries to Palestinians at its distributed places.
On Tuesday, the Israeli military confirmed two places located in the Tal -Sulton Rafa and the corridor of the Morara -the military zone east, which separates the city from the rest of Gaza -began to distribute food to families.
At about the same time, Israeli and Palestinian media shared the pictures showing long queues of Palestinians on the Tal-Al-Sultan website.
But a little over an hour they started posting videos showing thousands of men, women and children who get into the connection. In one of the clips, some people see them running and pressed as something that seems to be shots.
Witnesses described the chaos stage when people confiscated food parcels and other assistance from the site. They also said that Israeli troops located nearby opened fire.
“The situation was extremely difficult. They allowed only 50 people to cross at the same time,” said one person of the BBC Arabic daily radio program in the Middle East. “After all, the chaos broke out – people climbed the gate, attacked others and took all (help).”
“It was a derogatory experience,” he added. “We suffered from hunger. We just look for a little sugar to make a cup of tea and a slice of bread.”
The woman said hunger and poverty “overcame everyone”.
“People are exhausted – ready to do anything, even risk your life – just find food and feed your children.”
The GHF statement confessed that “the needs on Earth is great” and said that there were still about 8,000 food boxes – which is equivalent to 462,000 dishes – thanks to partnership with local non -governmental organizations.
However, it was said, the Palestinians survived a few hours of delay in accessing one site “from the blockade imposed by Hamas” without providing evidence.
“At one point at the end of the day, the volume of people on the SBS (Secure Distribution SIT) was such that the GHF team returned back to allow small amounts of gases safely and scattered. This was done according to the GHF protocol to avoid casualties.
Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said his troops fired a “warning outside of the connection”.
“The situation was established, it is expected that the food distribution operations will continue as planned, and the security of the IDF troops has not been violated,” the statement reads.
The Gaza Gaza Media Media said that Israel’s efforts were unable. He also denied that Hamas tried to stop civilians, reaching GHF seats.
At a press conference in New York, UN Socialist -Secretary Stefan Dukharik said: “We have viewed a video coming out of the gases around one of the distribution points created by the Humanitarian Gaza Stock.
“We and our partners have a detailed, principled, operational plan supported by Member States to get help from the Desperating Population. We continue to emphasize that a meaningful humanitarian operations are important in order to avoid hunger and satisfy the needs of all civilians, wherever they are,” he added.
The US State Department’s press -secretary called the UN Criticism “Hydro -Height”.
“This is a pity because the problem here is the help of gas, and then suddenly it goes into complaints about the style or character of the one who does,” said Tami Bruce.
Initially, GHF plans to create four distribution sites in the South and Central Gaza, where Palestinians will be able to collect food and other assistance for their families. It states that it is aimed at feeding a million people – just under half the population – by the end of this week.
US contractors should be secured and Israeli troops patrol the perimeters. For their access to them, the Palestinians are expected to check the face and the examination to participate in Hamas.
The UN and other assistance agencies insist that they will not cooperate with any scheme that does not respect the fundamental humanitarian principles of humanity, impartiality, independence and neutrality.
On Sunday night, Jake Wood resigned as GHF Executive Director, saying that the group system cannot work in such a way that they can fulfill these principles.
The GHF Council rejected criticism and accused “the status” of “that it is more focused on” breaking it separately than to receive assistance. “
The group also claimed that Hamas threatened NGO death on Monday, supporting its distribution sites, and tried to prevent civilians from accessing help.
Hamas publicly warned the Palestinians not to cooperate with the GHF system.
On March 2, Israel introduced a complete blockade of humanitarian aid and commercial gas supplies and restored the military offensive in two weeks, completing a two -month ceasefire with Hamas. It states that the steps had to be put pressure on the armed group to release 58 hostages who remain in the gas, up to 23 of which are believed to be alive.
On May 19, the Israeli military launched an extended offensive said by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, seeing that the troops “take control of all districts”. This plan is reportedly included in the complete clearing of the northern civilian population and forcibly displacing them to the south.
Netanyahu also said that Israel will temporarily alleviate the blockade and allow the “main” amount of food to prevent hunger after pressure from the Allies in the US.
Since then, the Israeli authorities have said they have allowed at least 665 humanitarian aid, including flour, baby food and medical materials.
The head of the UN World Food Program warned on Sunday that assistance was only a “bucket” of what it took in the territory to change the catastrophic hunger level, amid a significant shortage of basic food and rapid prices.
In the coming months, half a million people face fasting, according to the integrated classification of the food security (IPC).
On October 7, 2023, Israel launched a military campaign in Gaza in response to Hamas’s cross -border attack, which killed about 1,200 people and took 251 people hostage.
At least 54,056 people have been killed in Gaza since then, including 3,901 over the last 10 weeks, the Ministry of Health in the field of health reports.
