Coach Abel Sanchez says that Terence Crawford has to go out of Canelo Alvarez to win. He does not see it because the resistance to the knob’s punch will be too good. Sánchez points out that Canelo (62-2-2, 39 kos) has fought with the older boys with power and dominated them.
Crawford arrives at this uninformed struggle at Super Middleweight, which he could have done. Terence’s fans say he chose not to pass until 168 because he wanted to focus on the rise.
“I think he is a great fighter, but Bob Foster was too. He faced a boy who has never been injured in addition to a punch of Jose Cotto,” said coach Abel Sanchez a KO Artist SportsSpeaking that Terence Crawford is too small and weak to advance two divisions to defeat Canelo Alvarez at Super Middleweight.
Foster is an old lightweight heavy weight champion that moved to heavy weight in the early 1970’s and was eliminated by Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier. It was simply not big enough or strong enough to make the weight jump successfully. Sánchez sees Crawford on the same boat. It will not be large enough to face the size and force of Canelo.
“He has moved and fought some of the best punches in larger divisions and controlled them. So it is a difficult task for Terence. He will have to stop. It’s a 12-round struggle. He (Crawford) cannot be on his bike all night,” said Abel. “If you want to win a struggle and wants to be considered as you tried, you will have to stop.”
What Sánchez does not mention is that Crawford will have to really dominate to win a decision, because he will be affected by Canelo. The judges will score it for Canelo, even if he has been outside Crawford’s weakest prey. They will focus on which of the two are landing the hardest and cleaner features, and this will be Canelo. For Crawford to win, you will have to stay in your pocket and fist.
“ I think it is a model for each Canelo struggle from Bivol’s struggle. After four, five, six rounds, it is a Sparring game. He is taking it -easy in the boys. He does not want to do -he got some. He beat some, he did not overcome -he has controlled each other. But he has controlled every fight after the bivoule struggle. It was a game after the sixth round, ” said Abel.
It seemed more than Canelo tired after the first four or five rounds in his last three fights, and not a situation where he was “sparring”. In his fight against William Scull, he struck with some rapid features of the Cuban and seemed to decide he did not want to risk. Canelo also seemed tired and could not fight at a faster pace needed to eliminate it.
