Ryan Garcia says Terence Crawford “Can’t get over” Canelo Alvarez, a unified half -weight champion in his September struggle. Garcia states that Crawford (41-0, 31 kos) “did not look strong” when moving to 154 against Israil Madrimov last August in Los Angeles.
Madrimov, 5’8 1/2 “, is not so great and not the punch that Canelo is in 168. Crawford looked at his age in this struggle, as a fighter of 40 ISH, whose power did not carry since the division of 147 LB. Madrimov was illuminated by the whole fight, eating his hands correct and did not show power with his shots.
Crawford resembled your typical, every 40 -year day against Madrimov and was fortunate enough to win. With a different set of judges focused on cleaner and cleaner disembarkation, they would have given the victory to Madrimov. Their punches were much more effective in each round.
The way Crawford looked in that struggle, would lose in front of Madrimov in a rematch and would be destroyed by the other 154 pounds, such as Bakhram Murtazaliev, Serhii Bohachuk and Vergil Ortiz Jr., would be Meteor’s dust after fighting these boys.
If it weren’t for the Riyadh season, Canelo-Crawford would not happen because Alvarez would not enjoy Crawford to give him this fight without gaining it by moving to prove to be shown against the murderers, David Benavidez, David Morrell and Osleys Iglesias.
If Crawford wants the payment of the retirement of the golden parachute against Canelo, let it go through these three and, if there is something left later, let it fight the Mexican superstar.
Crawford would never have done it because the results would have been negative for him. I would go 0-3 against these boys and would probably be eliminated by each of them. A small and weak 40 -year -old against these fighters would be a mismatch.
“Can’t beat Canelo, by no means,” Ryan Garcia said to Akin Reyes and Barak Bess YouTube Channel on Terence Crawford without defeating Canelo Alvarez when they fight in September. “I do not see him hitting Canelo. He did not even see him so strong against (Israil) Madrimov (on August 3 last year), to be honest, and Madrimov is not so great.”
“They have two different styles,” Akin said, reaching Crawford’s defense why he looked so poor against Madrimov, achieving the whole struggle and barely hit him.
“In a counterpoint,” Bess said about the style of struggle of Madrimov, which Agnst Crawford effectively used.
“What happens to Canelo is that he has dominated his style and he will not change it,” said Ryan. “He has dominated it. He understands what happens in the ring at all times. I don’t see Terence Pegui. No.”
It is very bad that the Riyadh season does not make Crawford jump for a couple of hoops to get the fight against Canelo because it would make casual boxing fans more interesting who do not know who is their style of struggle or not. At least Crawford should have to go through David Benavidez or David Morrell to achieve the fight against Canelo. Only one of these two, and gets the fight. If you lose, oh well.
