CPI inflation report on February 2025:

Prices for goods and services increased less than expected in February, as consumers and businesses are worried about inflation tariffs, the Labor Statistics Bureau reports.

Consumer prices index, a wide range of expenses in the US economy, said the seasonally adjusted 0.2% per month, that the annual inflation rate of 2.8%, reports the Labor Department.

With the exception of food and energy prices, Core Core also increased by 0.2% a month and amounted to 3.1% by 12 months.

Economists interviewed by Dow Jones sought an increase of 0.3% both on the heading and mainly with the corresponding annual rates of 2.9% and 3.2%, meaning that all rates were 0.1 percent less than expected.
