Country singer Pat And Texas’s lethal floods have personally affected his family.
“Over the weekend, during the devastating floods that Central Texas struck, my family suffered – like so many others – a very heartbreaking and personal loss,” Green wrote in a shared statement by Instagram On Monday, July 7. “We mourn alongside countless Texans whose lives have been spent by this tragedy.”
Green added that he and his family were asking for privacy as they “mourn, support each other and begin to process what comes next to our family.”
“Thank you for your love, prayers and compassion,” the statement concluded.
Pat is a country artist best known for his song “Wave on Wave.” Released his first album Three days In 2001 and dropped its latest record Miles and miles of you In 2022. Kerrville is located approximately 270 miles from Fort Worth. The flood began on Friday, July 4, when water swept through Texas Hill County. As a result, the Guadalupe River rose 26 feet in just 45 minutes. A state of emergency was ordered on Sunday, July 6.

Hours before learning that they were personally affected by the flood, the Hunt family put the tragedy’s relief effort.
“Our hearts are heavy as we see the destruction and loss of life caused by the flood in Kerr and Texas Hill County, especially for the young women and their families, as well as all those lost and their loved ones,” wrote Tavia through his Instagram story. “We hold everyone affected in our thoughts and prayers. Standing alongside the critical response of the Salvation Army, we also provide $ 500,000 to provide immediate resources for rescue, relief and long -term recovery efforts.”
