The head of Costa Rican police stands by his statement regarding the moments that led to Malcolm-Jamal WarnerDeath, insisting that the late actor’s daughter was in the water at the time of his drowning and that the actor tried to save her.
“I responded to the incident and I know what I saw,” León’s elbowHead of Atlantic Region Tourism Police, said only Weekly US. “The Red Cross also treated the girl (on site) and did not need to go to the clinic.”
According to information from the Judicial Investigating Agency (OIJ) regional downgrading, obtained by Us On Saturday, July 27, the agency is competing against the statements of the Head of Police.
“Mr Warner appears to be playing with his daughter on the shoreline,” partly claimed the agency. “Later she left out of the water and apparently went into the sea along with a friend. At that moment the current pulled them in; the friend managed to go out, but unfortunately Mr. Warner did not.”
According to the OIJ, the late actor was “removed from the water by several people on the beach,” immediately received medical attention by Red Cross personnel but was eventually declared “dead on the spot.”

Jeff Kravitz/FilmmagicThe OIJ’s history of the first incident was told by several outlets on Thursday, July 24.
“I don’t know why the Oij says that, because they were not present on the spot,” said León Us from the agency’s collection. “They interviewed the Malcom family, but they were not there at the time of the accident either.”

León told Us On Thursday Warner and his daughter were in the water when they were “dragged by the current.”
“They bathed together and were caught by a torn current,” he said. “Obviously, as a father, he fought for his daughter, but the current in that area is very strong, and could not achieve the objective.”
He continued, “Two people who were there at the location went in with a surfboard and a boogie board to help save the people caught in the currents. They managed to stay with the girl, managed to get her on the table, but because of the strength of the current, one of them, from Nicaragua, had to drop the table and push it.
Despite the opposite report of the OIJ, León said Us He sees no problem with his version of the tragic events because “that’s the truth about what happened.”
“I feel the OIJ failed to interview the police and the Red Cross, and those are essential interviews that should be part of any investigation,” he continued. “But sometimes, for all sorts of reasons, they don’t make them.”
From a journalist Pablo Alvarado alleged to Us On Saturday the agency officials included interviews with several eyesight and their report reflected “the presumption currently being considered about how the incidents might have happened.”
According to Alvarado, the “report will be presented to the public prosecutor’s office in the coming days.”
“The participants are interviewed,” he said, adding that the report includes accounts by the police, eye witnesses and members of the Red Cross.
