Costa Rica’s Health Administration has launched an investigation into the circumstances relating to the death of Miller Gardner, Weekly US can confirm.

The cause of Miller Gardner’s death has been confirmed by Costa Rica authorities. The 14-year-old son of former New York York Yankees, Brett Gardner, died of exposure to toxic gases including carbon monoxide poisoning, US Weekly confirmed on Wednesday, April 2.

“With heavy hearts, we are sad to announce the passing of our youngest son, Miller. They added, “Miller was a dear son and brother and we could not yet understand our life without his infectious smile. He loved football, baseball, golf, hunting, fishing, his family and friends. He lived life to the full every day.”
Brett, who played his entire career with the Yankees before his retirement in 2021, and Jessica further noted their gratitude for fan support after Miller passed.
With the official cause of Miller Gardner’s death on the record, comment is now resorting to possible legal action his family could take in Costa Rica. “We are so grateful to everyone who has reached out to offer support and encouragement during this difficult time and we are confident that our faith, family and friends will help us inform this inconceivable loss,” Brett and Jessica ended with their statement. “Our prayers go out all Miller’s players and friends, as well as for all other families who have lost a child far too soon as we share their grief.”
