More than 200 children are treated at a lead hospital in northwest China after school chefs used inedible paints to decorate food.
Eight people were arrested after the trials showed that food samples from kindergarten in Tiangui, Hans, had a level of leading, who were 2000 times more than the national security limit.
A total of 233 children from kindergarten Peaixin had a high level of blood lead after a pair of red cake and corn sausage bun.
The headmaster asked the kitchen staff to buy paint on the Internet, a police statement said.

The paint was clearly marked, as nohwind, the statement said.
