He continued, “My heart has broken in a way that I have never experienced, and I still have trouble processing the weight of it all in full. I ask you to continue to raise the Dobbins family in prayer by his name, asking for God’s peace to surround him every day.”
Smith added that he had pulled out of music performances because of the tragic event.
“Out of respect for everyone who participated and giving place to mourn, I made the decision to step away from shows in recent weeks. Smith was charged with a misconduct traffic crime in June after Dobbins was hit and killed by a lorry he was driving in Nashville.
“The preliminary investigation shows that Chevrolet Silverado pickup, driven by Conner Smith, 24, travels north on 3rd Avenue North as Dobbins crosses the road,” Nashville Police said in a press release posted on -lein. “It appears to be inside a prominent crossroads when she was hit at about 7:30 pm Dobbins, who lived nearby, transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.”
It is alleged that the singer “Learn From It” had failed to surrender the right of way to the walker, who was a preliminary factor for the fatal incident, according to the authorities.
“No signs of impairment showed,” the statement continued. “There are no payments at the moment as the investigation continues.”
