Under the floor boards US Capitols hidden Stairs and passages left over from the original construction of a significant building in the 18th century, a viral video posted by the republican representative of North Carolina Tim Moore.
“Construction began in the 1700s, and there are all sorts of small hidden passages. As you saw, I just rose to this cover, and you see,” said Moore in a video posted on his official X on Friday, showing secret doors in the Capitol floor.
The construction of the US Capital was commissioned in 1793, and in the same year President George Washington put the cornerstone. The initial building was completed in 1826 with various extensions made for decades, such as a visitors’ center that opened in 2008.

Moore took the audience in the Lincoln Capitoli room, which he said Illinois with 1847-1849.
“But the most interesting part of the room is under the boards,” the masonry laid out in X.

“We are just from what they call the statutory hall, which at one time was the actual house of the house. But this is just an example of some small hidden secrets in the Capitol,” Moore said.

The legislator added that through the capitol construction knowledge melt a historic building. British soldiers in August 1814, known as the “Washington smoking”, set fire to the US Capitol, the Navy Washington and the White House – which was then known as a presidential mansion – before the storms took fires, and the military was called for a permanent current to protect it from British forces. The war of 1812 ended in 1815.
