Florida congressman and Air Force veteran urges anyone who encountered New Orleans terrorist Shamsud-Din Jabbar or Las Vegas bomber Matthew Livelsberger at Fort Liberty, formerly Fort Bragg, to contact her office.
She also asked for information on the failed killer of Ryan Root, a former North Carolina resident who was arrested at President-elect Donald Trump’s golf course in Florida when he allegedly pointed a rifle over a fence as the future commander-in-chief played a round.
“If you are at Fort Bragg (Liberty) and have any information regarding these three individuals but are afraid to come forward to your superiors, I can provide whistleblower protection and reception information,” spokeswoman Anna Paulina Luna wrote in a message on X Thursday evening.

Ruth, 58, had roots in North Carolina but most recently lived in Hawaii. Luna appeared to be referring to a recent report that Rout, a civilian with a lengthy criminal history, had visited Fort Bragg dozens of times.
Luna is a member of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee. Her office did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
The Army said Thursday that while both Jabbar and Livelsberger served at the base in North Carolina, their time there did not overlap.

In Las Vegas, Clark County Sheriff Kevin McMahill said that although both men had deployed to Afghanistan in 2009, any potential ties there were still being investigated.
“We have no evidence that they were in the same province in Afghanistan, in the same location or in the same unit,” McMahill said. “Again, something else that remains under investigation.”
Both men used the Turo app to rent the electric pickup trucks used in the incidents, he said.

Between 2007 and 2015, Jabbar worked as an HR and IT specialist. From 2015 to 2020, he remained a computer scientist in the army reserve. Livelsberger was an active-duty Army Green Beret with the 10th Special Forces Group.
Livelsberger, 37has been identified as the man who detonated a New Year’s Eve cyber truck loaded with explosives and flammable materials just steps from the front doors of the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas.
Authorities released sections on Friday about a possible motive to the “manifesto” left by Livelsberger, who wrote that “it wasn’t a terrorist attack, it was a wake-up call.”
Post-traumatic stress disorder and ongoing family problems were also likely factors, sheriff’s officials said.

Hours earlier, Jabbar, 42, drove a rented Ford EV pickup truck into pedestrians on New Orleans’ famed Bourbon Street, killing at least 14 and injuring more than 30. After the crash, he opened fire on police and died in a shootout. The Texas native has pledged allegiance to ISIS and is a domestic terrorist, the FBI said Thursday.
Deputy Assistant Director of the FBI, Christopher Raya, told reporters about this in New Orleans It said on Thursday that no “definitive link” had been found between the attack and the explosion, but authorities said they were still investigating both cases.
