Police in Colombia arrested allegedly the main suspect of the murder of 13 stolen workers at a gold mine in neighboring Peru.
Miguel Antonio Rodriguez Diaz, whose nickname is “furched up” (knife), was arrested in Medeline in a joint operation between the countries and Interpol, according to the Peru Ministry and the Colombian police.
The bodies of the miners were restored on May 4 from the tunnel in the mine near Potaz Peru.
The lawyer D -Diaz denied his participation in the murder.
Peru is one of the largest producers of gold in Latin America and saw a surge of violence by illegal miners and organized criminal groups.
