Wanted Kohli met with his former AB teammates of Villiers and Chris Gayle after Royal Challenges Bengaluru defeated the kings of Punjab in the final IPL 2025 on Tuesday (June 3).

“You know, for me, why it is so special to share -with these two it is because I have shared my main years with them,” Kohli said with Gayle and Villiers who are on both sides.

“And I know how much we tried to win this. And we felt we were so close a couple of times (2011 and 2016). And we were such a good team. And we had this explosivity on our team. But we could never cross the line.

“And we all have this evil because we gave our first years to this franchise. And really, really, from the bottom of our heart, we wanted to win this title for RCB. And I promise, this feels like ten times more special just because these two are by our side,” he added.
