Clearwater’s ferry hit the boat near the Florida memorial

The first respondents in Clearwater, Florida, announced a “mass incident with the victims” on Sunday night after a recreational ferry carried by dozens of passengers was inflicted from the scene.

The Cleruter Police Department said the Clearwater ferry had more than 40 people on board when it was hit on another boat near the Kazui memorial bridge.

The exact number of injuries is unclear, but the police said all the injuries came from passengers on the ferry. Two people were considered “serious injured” and taken to local hospitals.

As of 22:30 local time, the first respondents removed all patients and passengers from the ferry.

“The fire service was announced by a mass incident from the number of injuries. All local hospitals were notified. Many injuries were caused by helicopters who were transporting two more seriously wounded. Drivers should avoid memorial causeway,” Clearwater on X.

After being hit, police said the ferry rested on the sand south of the bridge.

The details on the boat escaped after hitting the ferry until available.
