Scotland’s manager Steve Clarke has hosted a group of players without any kind in the configuration of the national team before friendly games against Iceland and Liechtenstein, but has made it clear that experimentation is not on the agenda.
The head of the Tartan army has brought seven players to the fold that they expect to make their senior debuts during this international window.
The list includes striker Hibernian Kieron Bowie, Sassuolo Josh DOIG, the Connor Barron midfielders (Rangers), Andy Irving (West Ham) and Lennon Miller by Motherwell.
Despite the influx of youth, Clarke insists that fans should not expect significant changes in the structure or style of the team.
“I think now you know me quite well, we don’t experience too much,” he said.
Scotland will host Iceland on Friday in Hampden Park before traveling to Vaduz to take Liechtenstein on Monday.
The head of the national team said that the integration of younger players into the configuration is a necessary part of long -term planning, even if they are not immediately part of the initial 11th.

“With any team, there must be a cycle and a turnover of players.
“Young people are in a good place. There are one or two who enter this camp better than the last time they came.”
Clarke also recognized the dedication of members of the senior squad, who, after demanding club campaigns, were still made available to these games out of season.
Among them is the Liverpool Full-Back and the captain of the national team Andy Robertson.
Robertson praised the enthusiasm and mentality of the newcomers, considering it as a vital step in their progression to becoming leaders on the national side.
“I, Scott McTominay, John McGinn, we are not going to be forever. Then it depends on the young people,” said Robertson.
“Soon it will be their workforce, they will have to face and establish the standards. So they understand the difficulty of international football, it is crucial.
“I know because of my experience, the younger I experienced, the better it was and then I only grew up. And maybe in ten years, I can be looking at them in the World Cup.”
