Community members in the Pacific district of Palissada in the Los Angeles district returned to the place of the 103-year-old church, which burned down in January during ” Southern California Fires.
And although the building of the United Methodist Church of the Community is nothing but friends and ash at the moment, Pastor John Shaver told Fox News Digital on Saturday that it will remain a “community without walls” until it is restored.
“Since many are divided by familiar with ancient words around the world,” Christ is risen! ‘We know that these words are hopes designed for the Pacific Rosessades of the Joint Methodist the church family.
Shever, who headed the church just six months before it burned down three years after the centennial celebration, gathered with several members of the community on Friday before they went to the cross -cross.

They stopped in nine places in the destroyed neighborhood, reading the biblical poems at each stop to present another part of the path of Jesus Christ.
“On this Easter SundayAlthough we know that there are still important problems, we thank for the hope that God gives us through the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, “Shaver Fox News Digital said.
He added that the united methodical church of the community “wants to share God’s love and hope through our words and service to all. We hope that, being the hands and feet of Christ, we can build bridges with other people across the strange city of Los -Andgeles.”
The church was built by the same people who founded the Pacific Palisades more than a century ago, and for decades it testifies to weddings, burials, public meetings, sports, festive celebrations and anonymous meetings of alcoholics.

The founders, inspired by the Social Movement of Chautukwo of the 1920s, created the “Peace Movement”, building a church and offering residents of art, musical and cultural programs, said Shaver Associated Press.
The Congregation continued the services after the fire on other sites, but it was the first time on the court on Friday.

Palisada’s fire and the fire of Iton, which was further deepened near Pasaden, destroyed tens of thousands of houses and enterprises and killed 29 people, including the Shaver Church.
Shever remembered 85-year-old Annette during a cross-out walk and stopped in front of the rubble, where his house once stood. His family moved to the house last July.
“It is also a reminder of how much we have, we take for granted,” Shaver said.
And while the church burned down, the community was able to preserve the important parts like a stone tile, a metal cross that stood on top of the tower and another stone cross.
Shaver said the church would try to find ways to turn on these items when a new church is built.
