Christina Hall sheds more light on her relationship with ex-husband Josh Hall.
During an interview with Us Magazine, Christina explained that her ex-husband’s “insecurities” have made life difficult for her, including concerns about her work with her first husband, Tarek El Moussa, on the new show “The Flip Off.”
“I would laugh at Tarek. I’d get silenced for a week.” Christina told the publication. She explained that filming the HGTV show with Josh “probably just accelerated (their breakup).”
“Someone with more confidence might say, ‘That’s my wife, but yes, she’s doing it for TV.’ She was filming with Tarek when I met her,” she said. “There was a rationale that didn’t make sense. You know what you signed up for. I am your wife and I choose you, but you choose to make my life more difficult than insecurity.’
HGTV star CHRISTINA HALL’s intense fight with estranged husband Josh was caught on camera
Christina was referring to filming Flip Or Flop with El Moussa years after the couple broke up. The show debuted in 2013 and ended in 2022, four years after their 2018 divorce.
“I would laugh at Tarek. I would be held in silence for a week.”
Josh and Christina only filmed one episode together for “The Flip Off” and she is happy with her decision to continue without him.
“This is not Josh’s show,” she told the publication. “No one will be sad that he’s not in this. Josh is not a TV host, he’s not a house flipper, he’s not a designer. He was just my husband in this. Tarek and I built everything together, and I still have no respect for him.
Josh and Christina’s breakup will be revealed on the small screen when “The Flip Off” debuts on January 29. The HGTV star is “not nervous” about watching her marriage fall apart.
“There are definitely very emotional scenes. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever done for television. It’s very real and raw,” she said.
“The Flip Off” also stars Tarek’s wife, Heather El Moussa. The former Selling Sunset star told Us Magazine that filming was “better” after Josh left.

“Not to be mean, but he definitely wasn’t the best character. So it’s like a breath of fresh air. And (Kristina) is in a really good place,” Heather said.
On Friday, Christina was a guest on Sirius XM’s “Jeff Lewis Live” and discussed her relationship with Josh and how they are seven months after filing for divorce.
“We don’t get along. We don’t do anything. Have you ever seen me go after him on social media?’ – said Christina.
She noted that her marriage to Josh lasted three years, which was “a lot longer” than she wanted. Christina explained that she only dated Josh for eight months before the couple decided to tie the knot, which she would “never do again”.
Christina broke up her second marriage with Ant Anstead, which lasted only two years. The couple has a 5-year-old son, Hudson. Ant will appear on The Flip Off alongside Christina, Tarek and Heather El Moussa.
She explained that the “blessing” of her marriage to Josh was that they didn’t have a child, even as they head to “court” to have their marriage annulled.
“He doesn’t want to mediate,” Christina said. “It’s going to be fun. I can’t wait.”
Christina touched on her relationship with Heather and explained that they have “come a long way.”

“I actually did something with them yesterday and it was so much fun. I literally kept thinking, “I really like her. Like I really like her.” Like I’d like to hang out with her if, you know…”
Jeff interjected, “If she wasn’t married to your ex?”
