Christina and Josh Hall Fight on Social Media Over Drama

Christina Hall a Josh Hall had an intense social media exchange regarding the drama on their new show, The Turn off.

“TFW you can’t get enough ratings with famous designers 🏠 so you produced drama with me, nobody,” Josh, 44, wrote via his Instagram Story on Monday, January 6, presumably referring to profound change between the exes in the series trailer. “@hgtv, you’ve changed.”

Afterwards Christina, 41, fired back at her estranged husband.

“Manufactured?! Pretty sure no one at Hgtv told you to be rude to me…” she responded via her own Instagram story alongside a photo of Josh’s post. “That was all natural.”

After defending herself and the show, Christina also shared a selfie she took from the set where she looked visibly upset.

“This was taken June 21, 2024. After one of my shoots with Josh,” she captioned the selfie crying. “This is ‘real’ and reminds me that I deserve better.”

Earlier this month, fans were given a taste of what to expect from the first season of the next series. In s first look clipJosh and Christina had a tense moment while driving to a project before their split in July 2024.

“This is a competition, you have to pull out all the stops. Whatever it takes to win, I’ll do it,” Josh told Christina in the video and proceeded to yell, “Halls rule!”

It seems that Christina was not amused with Josh’s antics and remained silent in the passenger seat. Josh then reminded her that they are a team now. (In addition to Christina and Josh, The Turn off also includes Christina’s ex husband Tarek El Moussa and his new wife, ex Selling Sunset star Heather Rae El Moussa.)

“Don’t get confused in this competition about what your last name is,” he said, before calling Christina “rude.”

Christina then shared that she doesn’t “talk too much,” which apparently upset Josh even more. “You know how much if— you say it and I’m like, ‘I wish you’d shut up already?'” he replied.

The trailer ended with Christina meeting Tarek, 43, who immediately noticed that something was off with his ex-wife.

“I know that look. What’s going on? You good?” asks Tarek. Christina hesitates to reveal that she and Josh are “officially separated.”

Christina and Josh tied the knot in April 2022. Before getting hitched The Turn offthe pair worked together on Christina in the Countrywhich followed Christina’s renovation projects in Tennessee. Josh also appeared on Christina on the Coastwhich focused on the HGTV star’s renovation in California.

After Christina and Josh file for divorce in July 2024, Josh’s role is The Turn off downgrade it. Us Weekly it was confirmed at the time that as the series was already “in production”, Christina, Tarek and Heather, 37, were “moving forward with the show without” Josh.

Josh and Christina have not yet finalized their divorce and their legal proceedings are ongoing.

The Turn off premieres on HGTV Wednesday, January 29, at 8 pm ET and is available to stream the same day on Max and Discovery +.
