Chris Rashka died 60 after the crash in Utah in Boneville Salt Flat

Veteran’s driver Chris Rashka died on Sunday after he lost control of his car, traveling at a speed of 283 mph, trying to set a record in the famous salt apartments Boneville UtuThe organizers of the events confirmed. He was 60.

The SCTA Speedweek Association for Speedweek in Bonnila’s Salt Apartments has published a statement confirming Rashka’s death.

SCTA noted that the cause of the incident is being investigated. The Sheriff Sheriff Service, which investigates Rashka’s death, did not immediately respond to the Fox News Digital request.

Rashka reportedly reached the speed of 283 mph while driving the “speed”. SCTA did not specify what record it tried to break up, but according to Speed Demon Racing, the maximum Rashka speed in The Streamliner was 391 mph.

The American Hot Rod also released a statement after Rashka’s death, adding that he “saw the latest high -speed Demon Streamliner iteration when there was a catastrophe.”

A Bonneville Salted Apartments Located about 100 miles west of the Salt Leek City and for decades used as racing areas because of their glass surface. The first race was held there in 1914.

The last famous race death in the apartments occurred in 2016, when Sam Willer lost control of a high -performance bike. He crashed, having passed 200 mph.
