China has warned countries from expanding USA in trade negotiations on tariffs for President Donald Trump.
The Chinese Commerce press secretary of the Ministry of China expressed comments on reports that Washington plans to put pressure on governments to limit Beijing’s trade in exchange for exemption from US import taxes.
Last week, Trump administration started talks with trades on tariffs when the Japanese delegation visited Washington, and South Korea is scheduled to start negotiations this week.
Since returning to the White House, Trump introduced hefty tariffs to Chinese imports in January, while other countries have also suffered from leisure.
“The love cannot bring peace, and the compromises cannot bring one respect,” said the Chinese Trade Ministry.
“China believes that all parties should stand on the side of justice … and must defend international economic and trade rules and multilateral trading system.”
Last week, The Wall Street Journal said the United States plans to use tariff talks to pressure dozens of countries to impose new barriers to trading with China.
“If you put the figures, about 20% of Japan’s profitability comes from the United States, about 15% comes from the People’s Republic of China,” said Esper Kol from the Japanese Internet Trade Platform Monex Group.
“Of course, Japan does not want to (need) to choose between America and the People’s Republic of China.”
US President Trump said more than 70 countries have applied to start negotiations with the date of tariff announcement.
Trump has imposed taxes up to 145% on imports from China. Other countries face the US tariff at 10% by July.
Last week, its administration stated that when new tariffs are added to existing, some Chinese goods could reach 245%.
