The Kansas City Chiefs gave a subtle nod to the Mahomes family and their newest addition before the team’s first NFL playoff game of the season.
“QB1 looks Golden,” said the Chiefs post on X on Saturday, January 18. The post included a video of the quarterback’s start Patrick Mahomes arrived at Arrowhead Stadium as the team prepared to take on the Houston Texans in the divisional round of the playoffs.
Patrick’s wife, Mahomes Brittanyresponded to the sweet tribute, re-sharing OG’s post in it Instagram Story while writing, “The caption” along with one big eyed emoji and one ugly crying one.
Earlier this week, on Monday, January 13, Patrick and Brittany announced the birth of their third child. The pair also shared her unique name.

The couple, who tied the knot in March 2022, are already parents to daughter Sterling and son Bronze, who arrived in February 2021 and November 2022, respectively.
A number of celebrities quickly took to the comments section to congratulate the couple, including Travis Kelce‘love Taylor Swiftand “like” the post.
“Uncle jack loves her so much already,” Patrick’s brother, Jack Mahomesshe wrote in her own Instagram story, reposting the pair’s announcement photo set to Swift’s song, “Daylight.”
“Today was great to meet sweet dog Golden! Can’t wait for the memories to come! You have the BEST PARENTS EVER,” the post continued. “And best uncle.”
Kelce and his big brother – and retired Philadelphia Eagles center – Jason Kelce the couple also congratulated via their Instagram account the “Great Heights” podcast.
The proud mother recently gave fans an inside look at Golden’s nursery via media Instagram post shared on Thursday, January 16.
“When I found out I was having a baby girl, my mind immediately went to pink for the nursery,” she explained. “I really wanted to go really warm and pink with Golden’s nursery. And then obviously, tying the gold just to go with her name was where we got most of the inspiration for her room.”
Although the Chiefs made it a point to shout out to Golden as the team prepares for their first playoff game of the year, Brittany’s new mom was MIA (and understandably so, considering she just had a baby). His BFF, Swift, presenthowever – the pop star arrived at the department replay wearing a chic black minidress with a pearl Chanel belt and matching checked jacket. She completed her look with a coordinating Chanel handbag and her signature red lip.
Earlier this week, Kelce confirmed that Swift would be in the stands. “You know that, baby,” he said during the Monday, January 13, episode of ESPN’s The Pat McAfee Show. “You know it’s playoff football, man.”
Kelce also referenced one of Swift’s most popular lyrics while sharing his excitement for the game. “I feel fired up,” he noted. “I feel 22 again, baby. Let’s go.”
