Chicago PDSeason 12 finale came with Sergeant Hank Voight and his team to their cut point – but did they win in the end?

During Wednesday, May 21, finale, Voight (Jason Beghe) face against the Deputy Chief Charlie Reid (Shawn hatossy) One last time. After a reid smashed the intelligence unit of one episode in advance and put Dante Torres (Benjamin Levy Aguilar) Behind bars for sleeping with her dog, a Voight unit was up against a wall.

The future of intelligence, however, is still unknown given that Reinerio kills a ride has come shortly after he was dropped from the team’s custody on Voight orders. (On a happy note, A squeaked marina‘s kim burgess and Patrick John Flueger‘s Adam Ruzek will it be married before the credits roll.)

Why did Reid have to die?

The Showrunner noted that Voight thought he had made the “right choice” when reinerating how Reid made his father suffered before killing him earlier in the season, knowing that reinerio would be most likely to seek revenge.
Is Chapman going to break links with Voight?
Throughout the season Chapman and Voight grew close and fans saw a glimpse of new romance between the pair. However, during the finale, Chapman told Voight that she knew what she had done. She knew he used reineration as his own loaded gun to pull a ride down and made a deal with Silva (Randy Gonzalez) Flip on a ride and talk about his dirty policing tactics.
Chapman ripped up at Burgess and Ruzek’s marriage, telling Voight that she believed there was “more” between them but now that trust was broken. Meanwhile, Sigan said Us The attorney is not going to turn them back on Voight despite her own heartbreak.
“I don’t think Chapman is gone. I think their new relationship changed a lot,” said Sigan. “It will also be interesting to see that kind of mess, of which is still there working. She doesn’t leave Chicago, so what does that look like?”
Will the team question the story of Voight?
After Reid’s death, Voight told his team that Reinerio had admitted shooting the deputy boss out of revenge for killing his father. Voight noted that Silva had information on Reid’s illegal tactics, and would testify to that, clearing the name of intelligence. Burgess and Ruzek seemed to be skeptical of how neatly the case was tied but not questioned in the moment.
“There was so much disquiet in that scene. There was a lot of doubt in many of their thoughts,” shared Sigan. “(But) do they want to look into it? There is no evidence (to tell the story of Voight).”
The Showrunner was teasing, “You could see that Burgess feels something is not quite right here. So it is definitely an open -ended thread that we can draw if we want next season.”
What’s next to Burgess and Ruzek?
Once Reid was gone, Burgess and Ruzek decided to move on with their marriage. Their fellow players were all present, including Kevin Atwater (Laroyyce Hawkins) and Kiana Cook (Toya Turner) and their daughter. Fortunately for fans, the short happy moment will not be once and for all.
Sigan revealed that season 13 will show more of the “healthy” relationship between Burgess and Ruzek and their new normal. “Now that they have some kind of stability at home, what does it look like?” She thinks. “What can we push in and kind of, find stories there.” Sigan added that it was “excited” for the married couple’s story lines, saying there was “much to play” with him for the pair.
