Charley Hull responds to interest in Rory McIlroy’s personal life

With interest in Rory McIlroyPersonal life is highest ever following his Master’s victory, one of the most popular female golfers in the world has entered the conversation.

Charley HullCurrently the number 10 golfer at the Rolex Women’s Golf Sites, knows some or two about going viral. After all, Hull, 29, became a feeling last year when she was Pictured smoking cigarettes on the course at the US Women’s Open in 2024.

In a unique interview with Weekly USHull responded to the overwhelming attention of being put on McIlroy, 35, after his Masters victory on Sunday, April 13.

“At the end of the day, what people say about you, whether it’s good or bad, is irrelevant,” said Hull, in promoting her partnership with passes, a platform on -lein for content creators. “If you’re doing something good, people always have bad things to say about you, and try to bring you down because you’re doing well.”

After Si circled Rory McIlroy had given his earnings of winning the Master’s tournament to an Irish charity, the organization cleared things. Mencap, a charity based in Northern Ireland who supports individuals with learning disabilities, published a statement on Wednesday, April 16.

Hull continued, “My famous saying is, ‘People’s opinions do not pay my bills.’ So you have to brush it with a pinch of salt, you know what do I mean? ”

Much of the conversation around McIlroy is about his relationship with his wife, Erica stoll.

Stoll, 37, and the couple’s 4 year old girl, PoppyBoth on hand to celebrate with McIlroy at Augusta’s National Golf Club after his masters won. However, stoll did not appear to go with McIlroy On a trip with their daughter to Ireland on Friday, April 18.

Viewers also noticed that McIlroy did not mention his wife by name During an interview after the tournament with CBS Sports’ Amanda Balionis.

Mcilroy and Stoll have been married since 2017, although the couple briefly split last year after McIlroy filed for a divorce in May 2024. McIlroy filed to refuse the divorce filing just a month later.

Hull said that all the play around Mciroy and Stoll were “one hundred percent” of the reason that she had kept her new relationship “private.”

“I think it’s a good thing to do,” explained Hull. “It can be difficult with my job and everything. In a couple of weeks, it’s going to come out for a few days, but that’s about it, really.”

While Hull appreciates privacy in many aspects of her life, she breaks down some of her walls on passes, where she will share golf content, fitness and a unique lifestyle with her fans.

“It’s pretty cool because obviously fans know me on the golf course, so this gives my day -to -day life an insight,” said Hull. “Like what I do when I’m at home or what I do an hour before my time. I always get messages saying, ‘What are you doing in the gym? What do you eat? What do you work on your golf swing?'”

Hull said she is not responding to fans on social media because “you can get too obsessed with Instagram.”

“I don’t know, it’s exactly like too many people, do you know what I mean?” He admitted honestly.
