Welcome to Wrexham Had a very special guest in the locker room during a chapter this week – and brought that signature Mike Magic movements.
Channing tatum mutually accident Ryan Reynolds To the AFC Wrexham Football (Football in Wales) during Thursday’s episode, May 29, of The FX Docuseries.
“I was just doing my usual game order and Ryan walks in, and has brought another friend with him,” Wrexham midfielder Elliot lee Remember. “From a minute one, it was like we just got a banter like he was one of the lads and (we were) banner around.”
The athletes played “pony” ginuwine – a song made famous by Tatum in 2012’s Mike Magic – When the actors walked into the locker room. Tatum, as it was a good achievement, started dancing to the song – to the enjoyment of all the players.
Reynolds, 48, told the team, “He will drink you under the table,” while walking Tatum around the room. “I’m not even joking,” added Reynolds.
Lee noted that meeting stars like Tatum in the locker room was “different” to any other team. “It’s just part of Wrexham,” he added.
Tatum attended the game with Reynolds after meeting the players. Although Wrexham tied Cambridge United, Tatum still had a chance to go out with the boys.
“Ryan was due to leave immediately after the Cambridge game but we heard that Channing was shooting an ad with us on Monday, so we knew he was staying around town,” said Lee. “Obviously, as this is my 30th birthday party that evening, we took the opportunity to invite Channing to the Bash.”
Lee was teasing that it was a “great night” but offered no specific details. He said he would “live long in mind,” though.
Tatum joined Wrexham to film Cold Brewing Coffee Stōk LIX SUPER BOWL commercial. (The coffee brand is the sponsor of the Wrexham team.)
In the ad, Tatum teaches the football team how to get better “celebration dances” using the cold brewing. By the end of the ad, everyone is dancing to hit 1990 “Gonna Make You Sweat (everyone dancing now)” by C+C Music Factory.
“Channing Tatum is actually magic, though,” Gushed Reynolds in his confession. “A way back in 2006 – almost 20 years ago – he danced in a film. He’s 26 and people were like, ‘This child can dance.’ So, a crew made more films including a couple about Mike’s specific magic, maybe you’ve heard of them?
Reynolds continued, “Now, he’s almost 45. That is, (the dancing is) all. No wires, no CGI. Only made completely magic. It’s a bone, he didn’t have bones! Talk about building to last. You can’t dance like that in your 40s.”
Reynolds also offered some insight into Tatum’s mysterious night out with Wrexham players.
“I’m going to read Channing texts to me on the night in question,” said Reynolds.
“Oops! Maybe I had too much fun with the boys. We definitely went more freely than I ever intended to do. I happened and I’m sorry,” Tatum probably wrote in several text messages. “It’s definitely going to be on the internet.”
Reynolds concluded, “F *** ing Magic Mike.”
