Erin Bates‘Husband, Chad Painegrateful to be surrounded by a village of loved ones in the midst of his wife’s continued health battles.
Paine, 38, went to Instagram on Friday, September 12, to share a carousel of photos involving several members of the Bates family, including Erin’s parents, Fluent and Kelly Jo Batesand her brothers and sisters Alyssa Bates Webster. Tori Bates Smith. Michaela Bates Keilen. Lawson Bates and Lawson’s wife, Tiffany espensen.
The images showed Erin’s family visiting her in hospital, looking after her and the new -born son of Paine, Henry, and spending time with the couple’s six children: Carson, 10, Brooklyn, 9, Everly, 7, Holland, 5, Finley, 3, and William, 22 months.
“We have been completely overwhelmed by the love and support of family and friends during this difficult season,” Paine wrote in the headline. “From watching the children and taking them on adventures, to helping with baby Henry and raising Erin with encouragement – you’ve carried us in ways we can’t even put in words. We don’t know how to say thank you enough, but we’re really grateful. ❤️.”
Husband Erin Bates, Chad Paine, continues to keep their fans in the loop in the middle of her recovery of septic shock. “Recovery is not fast or easy, but we are very grateful for every small step forward.
Paine announced the birth of Henry via Instagram on August 27.
“After a long and emotional labor, our miracle arrived. Henry Blythe was born August 25th. 💙,” he wrote. “Henry makes wonderful, but we would be so appreciated your prayers for Erin as she continues to recover from some complications. We thank the Lord for carrying us through and for the gift of this precious boy.”
Paine later revealed that Erin, 34, had shocked septic after she developed “severe UTI infection and kidneys.” Septic shock is the last and most serious stage of sepsis, “the extreme response of the immune system to infection,” according to Cleveland Clinic. Sepsis can cause organ failure, tissue damage or even death.

Erin Bates and Chad Paine/InstagramIn subsequent post on September 1, Paine thanked fans for their “prayers and support” and shared that Henry was “doing well in the Nicu.” In the meantime, he shared more details about Erin’s “complications” during and after birth.
“Her labor was longer and more intense than previous births. She has been fighting through it and has been such a light and sweet evidence of grace for nurses, staff and doctors alike.
Paine noted that Erin was in the ICU as doctors continue to “treat, diagnose and search for answers.”

Days later, Paine shared on September 4 that Erin had suffered a “serious stroke” and was “half aware.” In another update on Sunday, September 6, Paine wrote that Erin seemed to get better again and was moved to a new facility to continue treatment.
Gil, 60, and Kelly Jo, 58, also shared a statement on Wednesday, September 10, where they thanked supporters for their prayers and explained why they had Failed to post more frequent updates on the state of Erin.
“We have hesitated to share updates since Erin’s diagnosis changed several times,” the Breeding bats He wrote alums. “It would have recovered by one thing, just to test yet another complexity. It has been amazed by the doctors who have done a lot of tests, so without exact diagnosis and with its condition changing frequently, it has been harder to share (updates).”
