Chace Crawford reflects on his career after Girls of Clecs – and why he had trouble following the success of the show.

“First of all, (people) believe that actors make tons more money and get more agency than we really are, depending on where you are (in your career). I felt I was in the desert for years after Girls of Clecs”Crawford remembered the episode on Thursday, June 12, of Josh Peck and Hog‘S. “Good guys” podcast.
The actor explained, “As big of a show as he was, coming off (he) as a young guy still, it’s like, ‘That’s not cool anymore,’ and I’m in this box. I’m in this prison of the Pretty Boy CW he doesn’t have a range. I felt, and I was probably harder on myself than I needed to be.”

“I was not lost how difficult after those four years of fake beginnings on some TV shows … like, it could be difficult to find another thing,” Crawford looked back during his podcast appearance.
Thankfully, Crawford’s next big role was just around the corner.
“I remember that audition hitting my inbox and reading the summary, I was like, ‘That sounds wild!’ And then read the pilot, I was like, ‘Oh, this is great. The boyswho first performed in 2019. “And the specific role of the deep, I’m like, ‘I know that guy. I know a hundred of those guys.’ I immediately felt confident and excited about my wish on the character.
“I was really appreciative when this happened,” he added.

The boys Broadcast four seasons on Prime Video, with a fifth season and last season due to premiere in 2026. The popular series has also spawned a side effect, Gen vand Show Creator Eric Kripke Hopes that the franchise will continue to expand.
“This story of The boys will not continue, ”said the showrunner Entertainment weekly in 2024. “With any luck, Gen v Will continue, hopefully another couple will be developed that they can talk about that can continue, but The boys The story ends in season 5. ”
