Catherine Zeta-Jones opens for living in four homes with a husband Michael Douglas.
“I know it sounds very jet set, and I love surrounding myself with beauty but it’s not excessive, it’s very comfortable,” said Zeta-Jones, 55, The Times In an interview announced on Sunday, August 17.
Zeta-Jones and Douglas, 80, have two homes in New York, one in Canada and one in Spain. The couple enjoy spending time in Spain, where they can take a step back from the Hollywood spotlight.
“Two celebrities together do 10. Just the way it is. There are two versions of the story and two believe,” he said. “We don’t listen to the crap written about us, that’s the main thing. And we respect our space, we’re an independent spirit.”
He continued, “We are very similar; we were born on the same day, 25 years apart. We are not afraid to be verbal, to express ourselves. I wear everything on my sleeve and so is he, which is good.”
Douglas, who tied the knot with Zeta-Jones in 2000, in July has “no real intentions” of acting again. (Douglas and Zeta-Jones share Dylan’s son, 25, and his daughter Carys, 22. He is also the father of Cameron, 46, which he shares with ex-wife Diadra hatches.)
“I haven’t worked since 2022 purposefully because I realized I had to stop,” Douglas said at a press conference during the Vary Karlovy International Film Festival in the Czech Republic, per Diversity.
He continued, “I had been working quite hard for nearly 60 years, and I didn’t want to be one of those people who dropped dead on the set. I have no real intentions to go back. I say I’m not retired because if something special came up, I’d go back, but otherwise, no.”

Zeta-Jones, for her part, is happy for her husband’s next episode — but does not rule out the possibility of it Return to show business.
