Cast family responses ‘the last of us’: Pedro Pascal and more

The last of us Also wrecked emotional havoc on the proper family members of the cast.

The HBO series – based on the bad dog video game of the same name – was performed for the first time in January 2023, introducing viewers to Joel’s dynamic pair (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey).

Admittedly, Pascal had no idea about the video game until after he took on the role. However, his nephews received an incredible response to hearing that Joel would be a member of their family.

“I didn’t know about the game before I got the job. Then I got the job, and discovered very quickly about the game,” he said on Graham Norton Show in March 2023. “It needed to be explained to me.”

After nabbing the role, Pascal called his sister Javiera Balmedaa mother of two teenage boys, Bruno and Pedro.

“I was on a speaker when she answered. She dropped them at school,” she remembered. “I said, ‘Well this job offer … or a video game -based opportunity.’ They’re like, ‘What is it?’ “

He remembered them shouting “You better get that job,” when he heard what game he was.

“It’s such a cool thing to share this with my dad,” he said. “It was a very cool bonding experience between the two of us because we played the first game together and then I played the second game with him until we started playing Abby and myself, kind of, released because that game was long and I’m a poor gamer.”

Dever continued, “It was very exciting when I got the call for playing Abby. It’s always going to be cool to share things with my family but especially this, it’s a real joy to share that with him.”
