Carly Pearce looks back at a 10 -year friendship with Kelsea Ballerini’s ‘real sister’: ‘I’m so lucky’

Carly Pearce remember every little thing about those initial hangouts with Kelsea Ballerini.

“I met Kelsea in a female artist’s songwriter support group,” Pearce, 34, was told only Weekly US Before performing at NBC’s OPRY 100: live celebration. “That sounds so crazy, but we were both young, ambitious singers who found a community because we think we need a female community in Nashville.”

While Pearce recalled being a little “jealous” of Ballerini, 31, after securing a record deal, the reliable bond pair developed that has stood the test of time.

“I think there is vulnerability and honesty that both of us are still breeding friendship in that time, during those early years for the two of us who lasted as she had her first popular single, and she was thinking of taking me out on the way with her,” Pearce remembered Us. “She would post for my music and once let me ride her tour bus because I was driving a 12 passenger van and I didn’t get any sleep for a show.”

These days, Pearce and Ballerini have a safe record bargains, members of the OLE OPRY GRAND and stay closer than ever as they continue to live out their musical dreams.

In an industry that can become competitive, the singer “We Don’t Fight Anymore” is grateful to find a great friend early in her journey.

“I have a lot of acquaintances in this town, and many people will tell you that they are friends with people, and it’s not true,” Pearce – whose Latest album Hummingbird: No Rain, No Flowers (Luxury) is out now – Explained. “When I think of Kelsea, that’s my true sister in this industry. She’s been for 10 years.”

The Pearce schedule remains packed as it celebrates its latest album statement. As well as performing at the Stagecoach Music Festival in Indio, California, in April, the artist “I Hope You Happy Now” will continue to travel for the Hummingbird The journey of the world.

No matter how busy life gets, however, Pearce said that there is always some time for women’s chat.

“We really support each other, talk s – to each other, crying together, venturing together,” Pearce explained about his bond with Ballerini. “She’s confidante that I’m so lucky to have had to watch her star literally, and she’s watched mine get up and bloom, so it’s fun to do things with your friend with your friend who understands with one look what you think.”
