Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford has been told that he is not in the director of the director Daniel Farke before next season, as the Yorkshire Club is preparing to return to the Premier League.
It seems that the seven-year trajectory of Bamford to Eland Road will end after the 31-year-old was absent from the workforce by the 0-0 preseason tie with Manchester United in Stockholm on Saturday.
Leeds was promoted by the last generation championship as winners of the title, however, the former International of England, who has fought with injuries in recent years, did not find the network in 17 appearances in the league.
And Farke revealed that the two had had Frank’s conversations about the player’s future.
“I had a really open and honest conversation with Patrick, which was important,” said Farke.
“He knows how much I value him as a player and he would have preferred a Patrick Bamford adjustment for the last two seasons.

“But he is a player who has to be the main man. He needs an arm around his shoulder after some difficult seasons. He was not willing to say -he was the main man at the level of the Premier League.
“On the second day of preseason, I took him to my office and told him that he is not in my plans for next season.
“It would have been easy for me to hide -behind the sports director or wait until we had someone else, but he has done a lot for this club, he deserves respect and transparency.”
Bamford joined the Middlebrough Club in 2018 for a quota of 7 million pounds. He was part of two winning campaigns with Leeds, making 205 appearances and scoring 60 goals, including 17 during the first point of the club at the Premier League under Marcelo Bielsa in 2020.
Farke added that the situation with respect to Bamford would be treated “as respectfully as possible”, but the German coach confirmed that he would not be involved in the Leeds preseason camp in Germany next week and that he would be excluded from the first team training when he returned his return in late July.
“I will treat this situation as respectfully as possible, but there comes a time when you cannot continue with five or six forwards,” said Farke.
“Right now, we are talking about what we do to preserve their fitness levels.
“Children under the age of 21 go to Munich for a friendly, but when they return, he will probably join many sessions with them.
“You need team training to stay in shape. It would not make sense just to leave it through the lake (on the field of training).”
