Prime Minister Mark Carney said Canada plans to recognize the Palestinian state in September, becoming a third G7 nation to make such a statement in recent days.
Karni said this step depends on democratic reforms, including the Palestinian administration, which held the election next year without Hamas.
His comments come every other day after the UK announced that in September he recognized the Palestinian state if Israel disagrees with ceasefire and other conditions and a week after France presented a similar plan.
