The US regulators were reportedly provided by the removal of many mystical buildings of the camp from official flood risk cards before 27 children were killed in heavy floods.
Referring to official records, The New York Times and the Associated Press said that the maps of the Federal Extraordinary Situations (FEMA) in 2011 were originally considered a popular high -risk flood camp.
But they say that the mystic camp – located in the lowland region of the Guadalupe River – then successfully disputed these designations.
The BBC contacted FEMA and Camp Mystic, none of which publicly commented on this issue.
FEMA describes flood maps as “a tool that communities use to know which areas have the highest risk of flood.”
Associate Professor Syrakuz Sarah Pralul, who studied Fema Flooding cards, said she thought it was “surprised” that Riverside’s camp was provided by the cards.
“I think it’s extremely anxious that it is a child camp,” said Professor Pul New York Times.
“You might think that you want to be very careful – what you would go for the minimum amount of what is needed to protect against the flood.”
Fema Fema Floods show that some Camp Mystic cabin was in the “flood”, a particularly dangerous area where dangerous floods are supposed to come, The New York Times reports.
It states that other cabins were in a wide area, which is also supposed to flood every 100 years.
These designations require the camp to have flood insurance and tougher rules for any construction projects.
The newspaper added that the Fema cards were not changed to include Camp Mystic Camp.
The popular camp lost at least 27 young girls when the flood waters broke through the premises before dawn on July 4.
At least 129 people were killed in Texas, and the results were still missing.
On Friday, President Donald Trump visited areas affected by the floods, promising that the government would help those who have lost their homes and property.
“I have never seen anything like that,” he said.
Trump also rejected the reporter’s question about what else could be done to warn the residents, saying: “Only an evil person would ask such a question.”
On the eve of the deadly tragedy there were questions about whether proper warnings were provided and why the camps were not evacuated ahead of the flow.
Experts said a number of factors led to the deadly flood outbreak, including pre -dawn and location of some buildings.
