IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois believes Tyson Fury should retire after losing to unified champion Oleksandr Usyk in their rematch on Saturday night in Riyadh.
Dubois doesn’t come off well and says it, but Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs) looked old and faded, and was schooled for 12 rounds by Usyk. The Ukrainian talent never got past second gear, launching the Gypsy King in front of a silent crowd at the Kingdom Arena.
After the fight, Tyson did not say whether he will retire or not, but he will obviously return to the ring for the two fights against Anthony Joshua in 2025. There is too much for him to do in those “Battle of Britain”. parties to reject it.
Tyson Fury’s net worth is estimated at $160 million and while he doesn’t need to move on, he will surely add over $100 million to that total. There is the greed factor.
“Furi has had a great career. I think the time has come to do it one day,” said Daniel Dubois secondsoutreacting to a very old Tyson Fury being beaten once again by Oleksandr Usyk on Saturday night.
It would be great if Dubois could dispatch Tyson in style by fighting him. This would allow the young talent to use the old lion to increase his star power. If the gypsy king wanted to be useful, he would allow Dubois to scalp him.
Fury’s fans denied his loss, thinking he had done enough to deserve the win. They are joking. He lost and looked terrible the entire time. Usyk hit him with three-punch combinations when he tried to damage him late in the fight and did little else.
It’s been YEARS since Fury beat a semi-decent fighter. The last guy with some talent to beat the Gypsy King is Deontay Wilder in their trilogy match on October 9, 2021. This win is very shaky, given that many believe Fury was given a long count in the fourth round when he was dropped. Deontay isn’t a great fighter, but this is Fury’s best win in three years.
has been smoke and mirrors with Fury for years, with him being an inferior fighter, and his gullible fans have done it, believing he’s the best. For the last 14 years of his career, he’s been pulling the wool over their eyes, and they’re none the wiser.
