Caleb Plab coach Stephen Edwards is worried about how his face separated so quickly in his loss by Armando Resendiz last Saturday night. Edwards says that Plant’s face began to swell in the defeat of his 12-round decision in the defeat of Resto (16-2, 11 ko) at the Michelob Ultra Arena de las Vegas.
The reason why Plant’s skin was broken down so quickly was not related to age. It was because resendiz was puncturing on his shots closely, that he had a Pulling effect on the face of the plant. It was not a straight punch like those that Caleb had normally been affected by fights against David Benavidez, Trevor McCumby and Anthony Dirrell.
These are features that launched resendizing that had a downward movement that had a sprinkling and forceful effect on the plant’s face.
Stephen claims that he wants to see the plant again (23-3, 14 kos) in action before it determines if it must be removed. The plant lost its average weight title of WBA super medium to return to the scores 116-112, 116-112 for remains and 115-113 for the plant.
Caleb should win this struggle to get the game of Jermall Charlo, which would have been a well paid clash on PPV.
“The punches were a bit bothered by him. His face bustle a lot. He only showed the wear of fights,” said coach Stephen Edwards a Sean ZitteL on Caleb Plab’s struggle against Armando Resendiz last Saturday night.
The plant should not have been fighting the re -enthusiasm inside. This was a mistake because he had already shown in his past fights, Again Jarrett Hurt, Fernando Paliza and Elijah Garcia, who is a nightmare to fight closely. Caleb’s recent performance against Trevor McCumby made him think he could fight the remainder inside and dominate as he had done against this boy.
“His skin was breaking bad, and I think this is one of the things that caused victory. He returned after the third round, and he had a small thing on his nose. I was like” Damn, where did he come out?
Plant was struck with resendizing shots that went down to his face and threw his skin. It would have been impossible for resendiz to fight so if the plant had remained outside. Again, he thought he could fight inside of this type and paid a heavy price.
The reason why the plant was cut off in the third round is that it was supported against the ropes and took a large left hand of resendiz. That roll struck a plant strongly and could not roll with it because it was stationary.
“You don’t want to hurry -you at the trial one night. I saw nothing wrong with their speed and reflexes, but it seemed that the punches had a bigger effect on him,” said Edwards. “They (the punches) had a great effect on him (plant). I think the renovation is a decent boy, but I don’t look at him as if he had bricks in his hands.”
Rareendiz has no bricks in his hands, but he is punctured inside. The plant delivered it. The plant is a good fighter, but it was never a great talent. Years ago, when he struck combatants like Jose Uzcategi, Caleb Truax and Mike Lee, he still did not look fantastic. He hit the middle fighters, who are not compared to top -notch fighters today.
We saw the plant fought against the lower level McCumby struggle in its last struggle. This guy is a Frange contender and anywhere as good as the 10 best fighters. Not that the plant is on the hill. It’s the same as always. It is only that the fighters are better now in 168 than when a name for himself was given from 2018 to 2021.
“I want to see more of Caleb before saying that I should hang them. But I will say that the punches had a great effect on him what he thought they would have,” said Edwards. “I have seen resendizing struggled a few times and never seen it like this huge and vicious punch. I just thought I was a strong guy.
