Brooks & Dunn Singer Ronnie Dunn Surprisingly fans in a recent concert when he left the stage quickly as the band was still playing Encore.
Dunn, 71, and Bandmate Kix Brooks Performing “Boot Scootin ‘Boogie” in the Cainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Thursday, April 3, when Dunn departed mid-song.
In a Tiktok video Divided by the radio host Matt MaloneDunn told the crowd for “singing him if you know” before turning to one of his band members and making a “cut off” offer with his hand while shaking his head. Then he walked to the stage and waved to the crowd before making his exit.
“Feel better, Ronnie !!!” Malone’s header of the clip. “Thanks for giving everything you could !!”
After the video made headlines, Brooks & Dunn fans weighed with anxious comments about Dunn’s health. “We hope Ronnie is getting better soon. A great show in Indy. Bed and breakfast never disappoints!” He wrote one fan through Instagram.

Another person on Facebook claimed that the singer-songwriter had confirmed earlier in the concert he was not feeling good. “I was there in Indy on 4/3,” he wrote. “Ronnie admitted that he had difficulty breathing during the concert. I have to report that he was still sounding great. But he was clearly not feeling well. An amazing show still. Ronnie’s prayers for sure.”
One Facebook user said she had attended a show in Texas last month where Dunn told the audience Covid recently battled and strep neck.
Representative for Brooks & Dunn confirmed to Weekly US On Monday, April 7, that Dunn was ill and noted that the date of the next trip was going on as planned. The band performed at Arena Allstate outside Chicago on Saturday, April 5.

Brooks & Dunn formed in 1988 and later became one of the most popular ’90s country actions, releasing hits including “Boot Scootin’ Boogie,” “a brand new spot,” “Neon Moon” and more. They announced their division in 2009 but reunited in 2015 for a series of concerts with a often collaborator Reba Mcentire.
