Brittany CartwrightMarriage to Jax Taylor more expensive than first fans thought.
During the episode Tuesday, June 10, of The valleyBrittany, 36, decided to meet a divorce lawyer a day before Jax, 45, was supposed to complete his time in Mental health treatment facility.
“With Jax coming out of the facility soon, I’m meeting with a lawyer to try to find out what she thinks of the situation, tell her everything that happens,” she said in a confession. “I think this is the right time before he goes out.”
While sitting down with an attorney called NazBrittany described the financial battles she faced during her relationship with Jax.
“He stopped paying our mortgage whenever I moved out, and I didn’t know that,” he claimed. “He has always paid the mortgage, and I’ve always paid all the bills. He was so far left on our taxes before we got married – I think it’s $ 1.2 million behind or something crazy. He was going to go to prison if I didn’t allow him to put it on our house.”
According to Brittany, the mortgage went on their home from $ 8,000 to $ 17,000 “because of its stuff.”
After Jax found a new condo to rent during his separation, Brittany claimed “He wants me to take over the house completely,” referring to the mortgage payments.
Us reached out to a JAX representative for comments on the allegations made in Tuesday’s chapter. During a recent chapter of The Valley After ShowJax claimed to give him the house.

“People make mistakes with everyday taxes,” Share on the After a show. “I learned my lesson, I had to re-set (my house), and here we are. But I repaired it and I made it clean, and now we’re good.”
During this week’s episode, Brittany was asked to share what she led to a trip to a solicitor’s office. She explained that the “blows up” she was experiencing with her disengaged husband who claimed to be “more and more aggressive.”
“He has thrown furniture and punched walls,” he claimed, “but he has not laid his hands on me.”
During the June 3 chapter of The valleyJax acknowledged some mistakes he made with his disengaged wife. “I pushed her away too. I pushed her away and I didn’t even f *** ing see her,” he said in a Phone call from the mental health facility. “I didn’t even realize what I was doing. I’ve come off with it for so long until I saw that this is acceptable behavior and obviously not.”
After listening to the alleged experience of Brittany, Naz suggested to the VanderPump Rules Alum she files for a divorce first. Later in the episode, Brittany confirmed to Kristen’s death she had submitted the required paperwork.
“I didn’t come into this meeting thinking I’m going to file for divorce but this makes me realize, wow this is bad, and I need to come out of this,” explained Brittany in a confessional interview. “I’m so scared that I’m going to allow him to make his way back in my life slowly.… I know deeply that this is the right step to take.”
