Brad Pitt a Angelina Jolie have been locked in a messy court battle ever since she filed for divorce in September 2016, but the pair they were not always at odds.

The Oscar winners allegedly fell for each other while filming the 2005 action film Mr. & Mrs. Smith. The origins of their relationship caused immediate controversy since Pitt was married Jennifer Aniston at the time. The Friends former student filed for divorce from Pitt in March 2005.

Pitt and Jolie welcomed a daughter Silo in 2006, the same year a son was adopted Maddox and a daughter Zahara. Jolie’s adopted son Pax in 2007 (Pitt followed suit in 2008). Their twins, Knox a Viviennewere born in July 2008.

The couple officially tied the knot in France in August 2014, only to call it quits two years later. Jolie has accused her ex of being “physical and emotional abuse” towards her and their children on a September 2016 flight from California to France, which Pitt denied. The pair settled their divorce eight years later in December 2024.

Pitt file a lawsuit against Jolie in February 2022, claiming that she sell her share illegally from the French winery Château Miraval without his permission.
