Boxing Results: The controversial reduction leads to the unconvincing victory: Emanuel Navarrete takes a technical decision on Suárez in disappointing main event

Wbo’s light world champion, Emanuel ‘Vaquero’ Navarrate (40-2-1, 32 kos), won an eight-round technical decision on Charley Suarez (18-1, 10 kos) Saturday night at the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California. The doctor of the ring stopped the fight for a second in the eight round due to a cut that Navarrete had suffered from the left eye of a header at the sixth round. At the co-main event, Nabf and Wbo Nabo Nabo Reay ‘Muratalla, 23-0 (17) defeated WBO contestant no. 2 Zaur Abdullav, 20-2 (12), for a unanimous decision of 12 laps of winning the title of Light IBF.

In the second round, Muratalla landed a right on Abdullaev’s chin, which impressed him in the first minute. In the third round, Abdullaev surpassed Muratalla, although there were few punches at any of the boxers.

Andres Cortes de Super Pess de Pen, 23-0 (12), easily surpassed Salvadore ‘Salvi’ Jiménez, 14-2-1 (6), due to a boring unanimous decision of ten rounds.

In the first four rounds, everything was Jiménez’s little offense, who fought against a shell, allowing cortes to go to the body with left hooks.

In the sixth round, Jiménez finally started throwing punches, although he is not enough to win his first lap. In the ninth round, Cortés continued to win another round. Southpaw of Welterpaw ‘Gallo de Oro’ Giovani Santillan, 34-1 (18), defeated Angel Beltran, 18-3 (11), by a unanimous decision of ten rounds.

In the first four rounds, it was Beltran who had the nose of Santillan bloody of the third round. In the fifth round, Santillan finally did enough to leave Beltran.

In the final minute of the sixth round, Santillan landed half a dozen of the left on the Beltran chin. In the seventh and eighth round, Beltran made Santillan a backup.

Super Bantamweight Sebastian ‘Logan’ Hernandez, 20-0 (18), won Azat ‘Crazy in’ Hovhannisyan, 21-6 (17), for a unanimous decision of ten rounds.

In the first three rounds, Hernandez had an advantage for two rounds, and then Hovhannisyan took the third, turning SouthPaw. In the fourth round, Hovhannisyan countered a body attack when he was pressured by Hernandez.

In the fifth and sixth round, Hernández used a vicious body attack to hurt and back up Hovhannisyan. In the seventh round, Hernández had Hovhannisyan against the ropes, seeking to end the fight, when Hovhannisyan returned to the last seconds with a punch.

In the eighth round, once again, Hernandez had Hovhannisyan against the strings with little return. Hovhannisyan did enough to pass the round. In the ninth round, Hernández headed especially when referee David Solivan took a Hovhannisyan point to celebrate it.

In the tenth and final round, Hernández won the body when Hovhannisyan returned and did enough to take the round. The judge’s scores were 98-91, 98-91 and 98-91.

Alan Light Alan ‘Kid Kansas’ Garcia, 16-1 (11), defeated Cristian ‘Vikingo’ Medina, 8-3-1 (5), by a unanimous decision of eight rounds.

In the second round, a upper right hand part of Medina in the final minute had Garcia that kept when Medina turned to the canvas. In the third round, Garcia left SouthPaw, then returned to the Orthodox and made a attack on Medina, having a good round.

In the fifth round, Garcia passed his way to the final half, when Medina landed a higher team, which injured Garcia in the bell.

In the seventh round, Medina landed a top right, opening a blood flood from Garcia’s nose in the middle of the round. In the eighth and final round, it was all Garcia who, in the last seconds, had the left eyebrow of Medina carved with blood that flowed on the side of his face to the bell.

Super Flyweight Perla Bazaldua, 2-0 (1), easily beat Southpaw Mona Ward, 0-2), by a unanimous decision of four rounds.

In the first round, Bazaldua had his way with Ward, leaving his head in the last seconds, forcing Bazaldua to the canvas. In the second and third round, everything was Bazaldua. In the fourth and final round, Bazaldua completed another round. The scores of the judges were 40-36, 40-36 and 40-36. Chris Leben was the referee.
