Boxing Results: Served revenge: Munguia learns from the past, dominates the tired of the resale despite the lack of significant improvement

The former Junior Junior Junior Champion Jaime Munguia (45-2, 35 kos) was revealed by beating Bruno Surace (26-1-2, 5 kos) by a unanimous 12-round decision on Saturday night on his comeback at the Riyadh enclosure, Saudi Arabia.

Surace, 26, looked 24k of gold at first, repeatedly hitting the punch bag with quick right hands. The shots were attractive and the impact was impressive.

Surace fades

Bruno’s work rate constantly fell from the rounds from five to twelve. This allowed Munguia to take over and the coast until the victory.

Around the middle of the struggle, Bruno began to spend, give ground and not keep the action in the center of the ring. It was not run over by Munguia, but will be removed to the ropes and would be covered as a Sparring partner. Munguia took the opportunity to get out and win the rounds.

In rounds 10 to 12, you could say that Surace was tired and that nothing had left. He threw a punch in these rounds and moved mainly and got up.

Munguia was much more disciplined tonight, keeping his guard and not reckless fight against Surace as he had last December when he was eliminated in six rounds in Tijuana, Mexico.

Hopefully I could say that Munguia seemed to have improved huge from his previous struggle, but I cannot. He still seemed the same contestant who had always been his entire career. The difference was that Surace was worse. He did not show any power he had in the first rounds of the second, and let him Munguy the hit at will.

Any middle -weight contestant of the division would have done the same in Surace that Munguia did. It has just been the guy who faced him tonight because of the need for resale.

Edgar Berlanga has been talking to a fight against Munguia if he wins his July 12 fight against Hamzah Sheeraz in New York City. This can be an option for Munguia if you want a good day. It would be a 50-50 struggle between two defective contenders.
