Boxing Results: Oscar Valdez wins, but his struggles against Ricky Medina point out a desolate future

Oscar Valdez (33-3, 24 kos) had a tougher time than expected to defeat his opponent of tune, Ricky Medina (16-4, 9 kos), for a unanimous ten-round decision in a Super Weighing Weight Contest on Saturday night at Domo Binational in Nogales, Mexico.

Valdez’s impotent performance

The world-class two divisions, Valdez, 34, came to the fight in a mandatory situation after losing three of his last five fights. Tonight, he applied constant pressure on the young and older 24 -year -old Medina. However, it was not an easy struggle for Valdez, as his younger opponent was constantly beaten.

A new reality for Valdez

His opponent, Medina, is a fighter who was supposed to be out of the world because he is not a world -class contestant. After losing two of his last three loss fights to Emanuel Navarrete, Medina was a boy who was expected to eliminate.
